A fantastic book! I absolutely loved it. Also, HUGE congratulations to the author, Susan, for including a map. This action-packed storyline is rammed with adventure, danger, curses, kindness, royalty, travelling, survival, determination, fear, disaster and everything you could ask for. The author captivates the readers’ attention using such vivid and evocative descriptions that readers can see everything come to life in front of their eyes. An engaging fantasy that I couldn’t put down. It was interesting to have a Prince who is as caring and noble as Kim. Kim is focused, royal, and curious. This is sure to be a hit. Siobhain - 9/11/24
This character driven novel was an enjoyable read. Prince Kim was kind, honourable and his adventures were memorable and full of twists and turns. 4 **** 's from me. David - 11/11/24
SUSAN'S OTHER WRITING:
Susan has written stage plays, screenplays, TV scripts and radio plays, as well as her "Young Teen" novel and a 1992 travel memoir.
In 2013, Susan’s 75-minute stage play about Percy Bysshe Shelley and Lord Byron (SHELLEY, BYRON AND THE ALLEGRA STORY) had a successful, fully staged reading, performed by 3rd year students from the Central School of Speech and Drama and directed by the playwright at the Keats Festival, in Hampstead. One person called it “a triumph! Susan has also completed a six-part TV series about Percy Bysshe Shelley and Lord Byron (ENTWINED LIVES or SHELLEY, BYRON AND THE ALLEGRA STORY) with a strong emphasis on Claire Clairmont, Mary Shelley’s stepsister and on Claire and Byron’s child, Allegra, showing Shelley’s relationship with Mary, née Godwin; a story full of passion, deception and tragedy.
She has written a stage play about Leonardo da Vinci, LEONARDO’S SECRET, which takes place from 1493-1496 in Milan. This is completely plausible and shows Leonardo’s relationships with his mother, his father, students and assistants as well as dealings at court and the subterfuge he was forced to use to maintain his position with Duke Ludovico Sforza.
Two more recent stage plays are THE MYRTLE TREE, set in ancient Greece and based on the Phaedra story, an erotically charged play with a moral and THE SEPARATION, set in 1980s London, a story of a previously married couple now in their sixties, who unexpectedly discover the mistake of their 40-year-old divorce during WWII.
